Meet Stormy,
Ch. Roseknoll's Perfect Storm, Stormy as we call him is owned by Paula and Maskey Heath of Salinas, California,. He was bred by Chuck and Susan Teasley of Roseknoll Kennel. The Teasleys have bred a litany of champions, and have devoted years to breeding sound, intelligent, beautiful PWD's.

Winning Best of Breed at the Portuguese Water Dog Club of America's National Specialty in 2007 and the Regional Specialty Show are two of Stormy's most prestigious wins to date. Stormy is also a multiple Best in Specialty Show Winner, Group Winner and has numerous group placings in all breed competition.

Taking his career to the next level, Stormy now stands at stud to approved bitches. Links to his pedigree and health certificates are on his stud dog page.

Stormy was handled by Stephanie House, 20, one of only a handful of junior handlers to win Best of Breed at a National Specialty in AKC History. A dedicated young handler, Stephanie started showing dogs at the age of 8.

Starting in 2009, Stormy will be handled by Larry and Lori Fenner. We look forward to Stormy's continued success with his new handling team.

Originally bred to help Portugeuse fishermen, the PWD is an energetic, robust, athletic mid-size dog that possesses excellent swimming ability. Stormy is an excellent representative of the breed, giving an enduring impression of strength, spirit and soundness. Stormy sports the lion clip, one of two clips allowable by the AKC breed standard, in which the mid-section, hindquarters, and muzzle are clipped, and the hair at the end of the tail is left full length.

True to his breed's nature, Stormy loves to swim, always puts forth his best effort, and is a dedicated and loyal companion to those with whom he lives and works.
